Casanare Colombia 2023

Soul Quest was more than a gig for us, it was a gift, an opportunity to engage with a spiritual community blended from Vedic Indian traditions and ancient South American Shamanistic traditions.

Matt was 2nd Camera and Mike on Sound, we worked with Director Todd Dacquisto to film a spiritual journey into a remote Colombian river valley. ​This project presented typical international and nature documentary challenges:

- International equipment carnets and travel logistics

- Filming in remote locations, backcountry camping
- No electricity, minimal equipment, and battery life
- DIT / Footage management for a week-long shoot
- Long hours in hot and humid weather
- Realizing when special moments are happening
- Cultural sensitivity, curiosity, and respect
- Bridging language barriers
